Indonesia
Wow I haven’t blogged for over a month, which means I must have been busy having too much fun. Indonesia was amazing! Travelling there is definitely one of the best things I have ever done. At first I felt like an idiot abroad everything about the place seemed to alien. It was quite the culture shock. But soon I found myself feeling completely at home there and never wanting to leave. The local people have to be some of the friendliest people in the world, and they also have a great sense of humour. We started our trip on the Island of Java visiting Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Then we traveled to Bali and visited Legian, Elephant Safari, Lovina, Ubad, Seminyak. We spent the last stretch of our holiday on Gili Trawangan before heading back to Kuta beach. Highlights have to riding and cleaning an elephant, dolphin watching at sunrise, climbing a volcano before breakfast and visiting the Gili Islands. Here the sun is hot, the beaches are beautiful and the sea is the bluest thing I have ever seen. I wish i could go back. I’m going to try and save for another extravagant travelling holiday next summer. Coming back to London after being away makes you realise how miserable people are here. Who can blame them with all this rain, horrible commutes, busy work schedules and how expensive the place is. Tried to combat post holiday blues with Hackney weekend and a day at Wimbledon. June really has been an action packed month. July promises some pretty exciting weekends too.
